The Research and Quality Committee serves the Association's mission in the creation and advancement of knowledge, defining discovery methodologies, and establishing equitable, mutually beneficial standards for research collaborations. The committee focuses on fostering impactful, high-quality research and promoting global partnerships to improve access to care and surgical outcomes worldwide.
Best Practices in Collaborative Global Surgery Research
Provision of support to a consensus-driven study aimed at addressing power imbalances, funding inequities, and ethical standards in global surgery research collaborations. This collaborative project continues to progress under the patronage of AAGS, chiefly the Research and Quality, and the Ethics Committees.
AAGS Seminar Series
Fostering dialogue and knowledge sharing on emerging topics in global surgery, bringing together thought leaders, practitioners, and trainees across diverse contexts to share insights and innovations.
