AAGS 2025 Assembly 2025 was held in conjunction with InciSioN Global Surgery Symposium 2025 in hybrid format,in person at the St. George's University School of Medicine in St. George, Grenada and simultaneously live online. The program featured a joint session on equitable academic exchanges and a stand alone session on Academic Global Surgery Program Accreditation. The assembly marked the inauguration of AAGS Founder’s Lecture. Together with InciSioN we conducted a Scientific Forum featuring hybrid abstract presentations from around the world! The book of abstracts was published by the Journal of Global Surgery.

AAGS Forum 2024: Accreditation for Academic Global Surgery Program
In October 2024, in parallel to the Clinical Congress of the American College of Surgeons AAGS hosted a Forum on Accreditation in Hybrid format. During this session the Accreditation Committee of AAGS shared the outcomes of first 2 years of their efforts. The session included an interactive live hybrid stakeholder consultation.

Annual AAGS Assembly
Each year, AAGS hosts academic global surgery assembly events, which feature panel discussions, scientific forums, and networking opportunities. During the pandemic, these assemblies were held virtually. However, in keeping with AAGS' commitment to equity, we are planning to host our 2024 assembly in a hybrid format at a low- or middle-income country location.
